Tip Top Sizing

Tip Tops tube sizes often go by sizes such as a 3.5 or 4.0 which quite frankly unless you know are basically meaningless, add to this blank diameters are mostly advertised in mm’s and the simple task of ordering a tip top becomes somewhat confusing.

To break it down and clear up the confusion, the 3.5 and 4.0 are actually 64th’s of an inch so 3.5/64 and 4.0/64, which makes complete sense if you know. I’ve added a tube conversion to mm’s and standard sizing below to take away the guessing element.
