Fortitude Rod Co has been working and developing our own products as well as bringing OEM suitable components to the rod building market. It all started with the FRC UL6M hardware to use with the inhouse reel seats that we started with and years down the line these are tried and tested and certainly key to many rod builds around the world. We've gone on to expand the FRC range with more reel seats and reel seat hardware as well as our factory cork grips that provide a good balance of quality and value for money.

We're also pleased to bring you top 'drawer' blanks and componentry from the US and around the World including blanks from Livingston, Gatti and McFarland, components from Struble, Snake Brand, REC and Sea Guide and a whole lot more. Our range is always being expanded and we're always on the look out for new and exciting products that make a difference to the use and look of rods being built. 

FRC are currently looking at a range of nylon thread and these are being tested for ease of use, 'fuzzies' and epoxy saturation, more news soon.

FRC's mindset always comes down to a rod that will work exceptionally well for the intended purpose and that starts with tried and tested blanks, the correct choice of componentry suitable for the environment it's being used in and then making it look damn cool through the choice of grip, reel seat inserts and thread choice. Building a rod isn't rocket science, take your time, dry fit everything and if you're not happy with a wrap, redo it, as it won't improve when you add the epoxy! 

The first cast of a rod you've built is a great feeling and only bettered by that first fish putting a bend in that rod you built yourself!
