Trout master DL3  fly rod down locking component build kit  for single handed fly rods #4 - #7

A convenient and affordable build kit with good value and quality components that will serve you well, saving around 10% compared to buying the components individually.

Handle: Good Cork grade 7" slim full wells grip is recommended, or optional 7" RHW grip (6.5" cigar grip also available on request). Optional upgrade to Great Cork grade.  No inlet required for downlock seat fitting.  If you buy the kit with one of our blanks in the same order, we will also ream the grip to fit the blank.

Seat: DL3 down locking reel seat with two lock rings, a brown burlwood insert and a cork trim ring for the cork handle end (seat pre-assembled). Available in smoky or black finish, Fits blank butt OD up to 11mm.

Guides: Appropriately sized Pac Bay or Seaguide snake or single foot guide set.  Select the colour, line rating and rod length you require.  The options are SILVER (silver guides, smoky seat), SMOKY (smoky guides and seat) or BLACK (TiCH black guides, black seat).  The kit includes a colour matched tiptop, stripping guide and hook keeper.  Choose between a standard lined ceramic ring or a traditional style chunky ring all metal stripping guide. 

For rods up to 7'9" we provide seven running guides and one stripping guide (either standard lined or traditional all metal), a small hook keeper and a standard loop tip ring. Respectively nine and eleven running guides plus stripper are provided for rod lengths 8'-9'9" and 10' - 11'.

Line rating #4/5 starts with running guide size #1/0, stripper #10.  Line rating #6/7 starts with running guide size #1, stripper #12.
