Seaguide UL2 (SUL2) uplocking reel seats 

Well-made and good value slim up-locking reel seat in silver, smoky or black anodised finishes, suits rods #5/6 to #8/9.  

Complete, unassembled reel seat supplied with an insert, two lock rings and your choice of an endcap or a fighting butt trim band.

Supplied with an unfitted insert bore 9.5mm.  Select from the options available (matt carbon weave, red Paduak, natural brown straight grain Sandalwood, natural or dyed Sandalwood burl - red, blue, black or green).  We have a few bored out to 10.4mm available for a surcharge, select this option if required.

For blanks larger than 10.4mm butt diameter the seat can be mounted by trimming the butt end of the blank and fitting a spigot or stent of 7-9mm diameter to take the reel seat. (or try a UL6, UL7, UL8 or Classic 'large' seat)  Make sure your spigot will fit the butt of your blank first!    

Insert upgrade option

This seat will also fit our individually priced premium stabilised or acrylic inserts for Lemke LC1, LC7 and Struble U20 and D20 reel seats, see the linked listing for purchase options. It will not fit the  premium inserts for the Classic series.

Fitting

Recommended fitting is to glue the reel seat hood into the handle cork recess first, then offer up to the other pre-assembled parts mounted on the blank (or on a spigot if the blank butt is too large for the insert bore).
